Similar to primed mods and Galvanized Mods, Amalgam mods cannot be equipped with their standard counterparts., Regarding Body Count, 12 sec of combo counter is excessive and not worth it for 9 mod points. It really depends honestly, Gladiator Rush is nice until you have a 3.5x multiplier, and there's a sudden enemy drought. The difference between GR and the other two can be weirdly massive., It would be pretty useful, if I'm going full melee with Wukong's staff. If they are unusable, then I find Wukong's passive to be close to useless since it only gives an extra two seconds for the combo counter...
