For me, pre 3.0, the main attraction to farmed legendary gear was the unique bonuses that were unobtainable by crafting. Now those are gone you can obtain the same bonuses from crafted gear as farmed legendaries. For example, Croms Axe was probably the most sought after pvp weapon pre 3.0, now it is outclassed by Ancient Lemurian Axe.
