I purchased a Kawasaki Bayou 220 atv in 2001. I am now having trouble with the idle. When I start the bike, I fully choke and it starts on the first crank. The idle on choke is very fast and smooth. If I let off the choke, the engine sputters and dies. To run the bike, I have to quickly accelerate ..., Purchased a 2002 220 Bayou that really needed some love. Choke plunger was stuck so I removed the carb, got that out and it cleaned up pretty well. I did not replace any carb part but cleaned all the passageways, jets etc. Checked float height. It runs great except the idle at times is erratic.
