Jun 17, 2020 · I have an 04 sportsman 600 twin. It had bad slipping problems so I bought a new belt, a gates gforce 19g3982e. The OEM belt looked good. It was a 3211091. The secondary clutch ended up being bad. Polaris discontinued it, so I bought one on eBay with same number. Put it on and now its like the belt is not disengaging. Basically if the clutch belt is turning ,when at idle , it will make it very hard to shift gears because there is pressure on the trans gears. I just bought a 2004 Sportsman 600 twin. I attempted to replace the starter solenoid because the machine would only start every 2-3 key turns. After putting the new solenoid in, the atv won't start at all and the solenoid isn't even clicking. I put the old solenoid back on and got the same result. However, if the solenoid is at the bottom of the float bowl, the purpose is to shut off fuel to the main jet when the key is turned off. They will run into 1 flat plug that runs up to the ..., There is a small diameter threaded pin in the middle of the opening (in the CDI) that the spark plug wire goes into. The spark plu wire actually threads onto this threaded pin and makes a sure electrical contact.
